About
WHo am I
I’m Hannah, the founder of Legally Detained - a creative activist, writer, speaker, and performer. For years, I was told I was “too much,” “too difficult,” and that I’d never achieve anything. Instead, I’ve built a platform from that rejection.
Legally Detained is lived-experience-led. Everything I do is rooted in being autistic, ADHD, PDA, and living with complex trauma. My survival was never meant to be the whole story - it became the starting point.
Through performance, writing, workshops, consultancy, and unapologetic storytelling, I challenge ableism and tokenism head-on. My work proves what so many of us know: we were never broken. We are powerful, creative, and capable of reshaping systems that were never built for us.
This space isn’t about sugarcoating reality. It’s about truth, community, and creativity. It’s about turning survival into power, making difference a strength, and building platforms where disabled and neurodivergent voices don’t just fit in - they lead.
What to Expect
Here, you’ll find:
My blog - raw, reflective, and real.
Updates on creative projects like Rulebook to Society.
Resources, journal prompts, and campaigns built from lived experience.
A hub for my workshops, consultancy, and performance work.
A Space for Us
Legally Detained is more than my story - it’s a space for anyone who has been told they’re too much, too different, or not enough. A place where survival isn’t the ceiling, but the beginning.
